Welcome to the
Midsomer Norton Rugby Club Website

Midsomer Norton Rugby Club Ltd was established in 1936 and is now located on the outskirts of the town at Norton Down where it has a three excellent pitches, a floodlit training area, clubhouse and large carpark. The Club runs four adult teams with the first XV currently playing in the Somerset Premier league, while the seconds and thirds also compete in county leagues. The 4ths which are also called the Optimists play Somerset League 2 south while the Colts compete in the Bristol Combination Colts League. There is also a fledgling ladies team which plays a small number of games each season.

The Club also has a thriving Junior Section which has over 230 members and provides coaching, training and competitive games for boys and girls from 7 to 12 in its Mini Section on Sunday mornings.

There are also teams for each age group from U13s to U17s. Each October, the Club host a Festival for Minis when local teams are invited to play. MNRFC takes the welfare of children in its care very seriously and has recently been awarded the RFU Seal of Approval which confirms that proper Coaching and Child Protection standards are in place.

The Club has grown to its current size from very humble origins and this is explained in Club History.

The Clubhouse has an excellent bar and social facilities which are available for hire and investment has recently been provided to install accessible toilets and wheel chair friendly access into the Clubroom.
The extensive playing fields and changing rooms have been used regularly for football tournaments, cross country running events, music events, fundays and music festivals.
